I am a Bay Area native and completed my B.S. in Environmental Science and Management at UC Davis with a minor in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology. After graduating, I worked as an Environmental Planner where I dedicated much of my time to a tidal marsh restoration project within the SF Bay Estuary, and learned extensively about the delicate ecosystem. I am working with Dr. Andy Chang in the SERC lab as well as co-advisor Matt Ferner in the NERR lab. I will be analyzing their long-term dataset on local populations of the Olympia oyster (Ostrea lurida), and looking at their population trends related to environmental stressors such as the 2017 atmospheric river event.
